I have a simple question for you all. Can the alphabet 'i' in iPhone provide you with Campus
Placement????
The simple answer from your side would be a big NO.
But, here, in my case, it did.
On 10th November 2011, a software development company came to our Campus at Baru Sahib and while the HR was addressing the pool of 230 students and presenting his company profile, the word iPhone appeared on one of the ppt slides.
He asked the students, "Can anyone tell me, what alphabet 'i' means in an iPhone?". There was a shrill silence in the auditorium. Taking note of the situation, he said, "The person who will give the answer will be exempted from appearing in the Aptitude Test and will directly reach the Group Discussion round".
The silence still prevailed. Now, with an aim to make fun of the students, knowing that nobody knew the answer, he again said," Last Golden opportunity for all, Whosoever will give the answer, need not follow the recruitment process. He will be directly awarded the offer letter."
Immediately an intution in my mind incited me and said," Vishu, why don't you just give it a try?" and I raised my hand. The HR asked me, "Yaa do you know the answer?" I abruptly, with little confidence, said, " Sir, I think 'i' stands for 'Intelligent'."
He said, " What your name dear?" I said in a low voice, " Sir, Vishal Sharma". Listening to my reply, he immediately announced on the mike, "My dear friends, Vishal Sharma is now placed".
It was really a dream come true. No matter whatever the package was offered to me but the enjoyment and happiness was appraised from the fact that IT IS MY FIRST OFFER LETTER.
The credit goes to Almighty and my Mom-Dad for their fruitful blessings. :)
